Springvale is a fee-paying school, and the annual fees are determined by the School Governing Body. The Language of Learning and Teaching is English and the CAPS curriculum is followed.

Each phase has an outdoor space for learners to sit and eat at break. Foundation phase learners eat their lunch just before break so that they have time to play.

During the year there are several functions organized for children and their families such as Sports Day, Grandparents’ day, Mother’s Day, Father's Day, the Gr R concert, PJ day, Sunset Picnic, Occupation dress up day and the end of year Award ceremony.

Foundation phase subjects are English, Maths, Life skills and Computers.
In the computer centre, the learners practice their fine motor skills as they learn to use the mouse and keyboard. Lessons touch on all the soft skills required to operate a computer. The programs that are used reinforce the language, mathematical and Life Skills concepts learnt in class.
In addition to the above, the Foundation Phase learners also have Music which is an interactive and fun lesson, and Setswana as an additional language.
Coding and robotics is part of the curriculum for these learners and is also available as an extra-mural activity.
In the Intermediate and Senior phase, learners have a register teacher and each teacher specializes in a different subject. Learners move from class to class following the timetable. Décor in these classes is subject related but reflects the personality of the teacher.
Intersen phase subjects are English (Home Language), Afrikaans (First Additional Langauge), Maths,
Social Science which includes Geography and History, Natural Science and Technology,
Creative Arts which includes Visual Art and Drama, Life Orientation, Physical Education and Economic Management Science.
The Visual Arts class is a bright, colourful area designed for fun and creativity

Springvale’s Library is a beautiful, calm space designed to foster a love of books and reading.
There are areas for learners and teachers to escape into a world of stories or to research school projects.
In the computer centre children learn basic computer skills, drawing, typing and research.
